So much for title contention.

It is official, the summer transfer window is almost over, and Arsenal are still stuck with Yaya Sanogo as there main striker. Arsene Wenger was in talks with  AS Monaco's Falcao, but the Colombian striker decided earlier today to sign a shock deal where he would play for Manchester United for a £12m loan fee.

Wenger was previously in talks with Loic Remy, but Jose Mourhino beat Wenger to the punch to seal the deal with the striker from QPR for £8m transfer fee.

Arsenal find themselves in a bunch scrambling for players, as much as Wenger doesn't want to admit it!
Yaya Sanogo is not capable of carrying an Arsenal team who use bring in outstanding young strikers.
No one can compare Sonogo to Thierry Henry, or Dennis Bergkamp. Arsenal need themselves top quality.

While Wenger is still doing business in the final hours of the summer transfer window, he has his eyes on Edinson Cavani. Wenger will need to put in his best offer for the Uruguayan international in the final hours! Cavani looks to leave as he is not playing the role that he is suppose to play as PSG.

Arsenal have a ton of midfield talent but find themselves very weak on the goal scoring aspect. With Juventus throwing deals Wenger's way for the World cup winner Lukas Podolski, Arsenal might find themselves struggling for the top four.
